Why is the word fundamental to the search for knowledge. It is the attempts to understand why things are as they are that has brought forth knowledge. My "why" for taking this class is quite simple: to expand my perspectives. It is my hope by the conclusion of this semester, the new perspectives I gained will allow me to evolve my works beyond the limitations imposed by my previous perspectives. In short, as Morpheus asked Neo to do in The Matrix, I am here to free my mind.
